SAVE $261: If you can't decide between a new tablet or a new laptop, the Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5i(opens in a new tab) gives you the best of both worlds. It's on sale for just $279 at Walmart as of May 18 — that's 48% in savings.

Choosing between a laptop and tablet isn't always a straightforward decision. On one hand, you want a keyboard. On the other, you want something ultra-portable that lets you draw, take hand-written notes, and enjoy the convenience of a touch-screen. That's where the 2-in-1 laptop really shines.

And when it comes to 2-in-1s, it doesn't get much better than Lenovo's lineup. As of May 18, the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i is on sale for just $279(opens in a new tab) at Walmart. That's 48% off its MSRP.

Slightly different than the Flex 5, which is Mashable's top pick for a 2-in-1, the Flex 5i is a solid convertible laptop for the money. The model in question features a 14-inch, full HD (1,920-by-1,080-pixel) display, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB SSD, and a 3.0 GHz Intel Core i3-1115G4 Dual-Core processor. It doesn't have the most powerful specs on the market, but you'll be able to complete everyday tasks, stream shows and movies, and edit spreadsheets just fine.

The Flex 5i has an HDMI port, a USB-C port (which can be used for charging), a power port, and an audio combo jack on one side. On the other, there are two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, which is not only rare to find on ultraportable laptops these days, but also convenient for connecting all kinds of devices. There's also a full-sized SD card reader.

For what it's worth, our friends at PCMag (which is owned by Mashable's publisher, Ziff Davis) gave the Flex 5i an excellent 4-star rating and said it "gets the basics right." Of course, the model they reviewed had much more powerful specs, so keep that in mind.
